Business & Cities

The Hague Process on Refugees and Migration (THP) is an expert in facilitating innovative collaborations between the private sector and city governments to improve migration outcomes.  Since 2012 THP has centred its efforts on addressing the role of cities and businesses in tackling migration and refugee challenges and facilitating innovative collaborations between these key stakeholders. Our experience with the nexus between business, cities and migration includes; private sector engagement with migration policies, CSR and migration, the role of business and cities in integration.

THP has long recognised the business community as being a priority stakeholder group that both impacts and is affected by migration. We help businesses to discern how to approach, and find solutions to-, issues of mobility, while the contribution of businesses is crucial to understand the perceived and practical obstacles faced by the private sector.

THP believes that cities and local governments play a critical role in the development and implementation of migration solutions. We work with local governments and other relevant stakeholders to create pathways of cooperation between non-traditional actors in areas such as labour market participation and integration.
